  • To give opportunity for participants to reflect on the roles/contexts in which they come from, and therefore identify any curiosities or challenges relevant to the workshop

Instructions

  1. A simple “circle round” sort of activity.
  2. Allow time for participants to think of a Rose, a Thorn, and a Bud they are bringing to this workshop from their mahi.
  3. Rose = a highlight or success from the past day/week/month/year (timeframe to be decided by facilitator).
Thorn = a challenge or discomfort from the past day/week/month/year.
Bud = a curiosity, wondering, or a small hope.

Facilitator notes

This can be a more vulnerable activity, which may not be quite right for every workshop. Would advise gauging the vibe of the room before deciding on whether to use this.
